When should you hire a dental associate? How far ahead should you plan on hiring an associate? Again, a lot of this might go back to the economics of it. Right?

When is a good time to actually money wise do this that comes down to you, and how much you're willing to work?

I would definitely be six months out thinking about what type of associate I want putting a plan together, how am I going to go out and get it?

I would talk to my staff about it as well. Because if an associate just shows up one day, they're going to want to know why. Are you leaving? Are you not going to be here as much? That could be nerve wracking to the staff so have a process in place. Then start interviewing three to four months out, simply because they may not be able to get out. Maybe they're still in school or they've got a contract that's going to be running out. They're definitely looking probably six months out themselves.

So they may find something through a quick search, but definitely don't think of it last minute. Think months ahead of it. And hopefully, you'll be able to get a good associate just simply by posting it out there and finding good people that can help bring one in.
